000 square metres large, was built in 1896 as the first electrochemical plant of the SICCAG (Italian calcium carbide, acetylene and other gases Company); it produced calcium carbide, mostly used for public and private illumination through acetylene. In 1922 its union with the Società Altiforni Fonderie e Acciaierie di Terni lead to the end of the plant in 1929. Therefore, the area was adapt to house workers and was enlarged with new houses, a church and a worker’s club with sport and spare time equipment and even a cinema room. The club was destroyed by the bombings during the Second World War
There are still facilities and houses in the area, renovated to value the Marmore Falls.
