The industrial complex produces mostly brick and many different containers, for instance flowerpots.
It is located in an agricultural hill area, on the road that connects Perugia and Ponte San Giovanni. It covers an area of circa 1500 square metres, comprising nine building and two chimneys.
The brickyard was launched in 1887 by Ferrini and Paolotti.

Their purpose was to utilize the clayey ground of the near hills; it was an advanced idea in the technological development. In the early 20th century, the brickyard comprised 12 Hoffmann continuous furnaces, powered by steam engine of 10 HP.
At the end of the ‘70s the factory was closed and it became property of the Fornaci Briziarelli di Marsciano, which has used the outdoor area as warehouse for the lateritious products.
On April 2018 a city plan has been sign between the Briziarellifin S.r.l and the Comune di Perugia, to start the renovation project of the area for commercial and house purpose. The project includes a pedestrian area with squares and gardens.
