Nestled in the heart of Umbria, Spello’s Villa of Mosaics is one of the most extraordinary archaeological discoveries of Umbria. Brought to light in 2005, the Villa, wich dates back to the imperial age, is home to over 500 square metres of refined mosaics, as well as traces of frescoes and stuccoes. Stone tile flooring of rare beauty.
Twenty rooms have been discovered, ten of which contain beautiful mosaics. The splendid floors, unique in Umbria in virtue of their depictions, present a kaleidoscope of themes and subjects.
